Well Check+Stomach Bug Scare

So Ashton was FINALLY well enough for his well check! We needed to have one more clearance before his surgery next week anyways so I was more than glad to hit two birds with one stone! He weighs thirty four pounds which puts him in the middle range of kids his age… Here is the kicker however his height (which escapes me at the moment) put him in the 95% range! We have a tall boy on our hands! Everything looks pretty good at the moment and we are very thankful that we received a clean bill of health for him! He is the absolute love of my life and I am so glad that despite his renal and urinary tract issues he is truly a normal three year old!

AFTER that I find out that my niece is sent home throwing up!!!!! I was so worried she was at the house with Ashton!! L Mom was able to keep them apart (kind of) until I could get there and get him home. I bleached everything just in case she had it or had caught it at our house over the weekend! Say a prayer Ashton does NOT catch it! If he does we are in big trouble! I kind of had a meltdown this evening so please please please remember him AND my niece (who is very sick) in your prayers this evening! The stomach bug is a vicious thing and I would not wish this on ANYONE!

MONDAYS

Well!!! Needless to say, it has been a MONDAY! Today it was hard to wake up! Well let’s be honest it’s because I was so spoiled last week!!! I only had to work one full day so yes I would imagine today would be more difficult! I was really glad to get back in the swing of work and everything but it was an interesting day! My afternoon faitique is kicking in! I really am not able to really get much done after working a full day of school and there is still so much to do. I know it will get done! But its HARD!!! L

Baby Shower Number Two :)

I spent the day preparing for the shower that my sister and Laura threw for me! It was a great time! Almost all of my closest friends from here were there! I was a little bummed because my friends from North Carolina really couldn’t make it to visit! I am looking forward to them visiting once Addison arrives though! I am so excited to post pictures from the shower! We had so much fun! Addison got almost everything she needs and that sure makes a momma feel great! J

Snow Days- Productive

MLK Day

Well! I missed blogging this weekend! We spent the entire weekend finishing the nursery, cleaning the house, I had some editing to get caught up on and some photography sessions! It felt good to get back behind the lens! Here is a peak into my past weekend! I am SOOOOO glad to be off today!

Baby Shower- At SSES

I have never been so overwhelmed with such kind and sweet people! It makes me so happy to KNOW so many people are as excited about sweet Addison's ever so soon arrival!! I was overwhelmed with diapers, wipes, baby blankets and outfits! I got a gift basket and AWESOME diaper cake!!!I am also so excited about the wall hangings Mrs Boyd styled herself! I love that everyone got to participate! I am forever thankful to Mrs. Baldwin and Mrs. Boyd's hard work and attention to detail!

Best Big Brother EVER

5am Phone Call!

Normally I'd be upset getting a phone call before 5am but this morning I was relieved to hear the phone ring! I knew we either had a delay or a day off and I was going to get my grading from school caught up and spend one of my last snow days being a mommy to an only child! I got up and got ALL of my grading completed before Ashton got up and now I am enjoying him. I am enjoying listening to him laugh in his play room while I do the dishes! I am listening to him giggle while the puppy gives him kisses. My heart is content because he is so happy. He feels so good. I am thankful for his doctors working so hard to keep his symptoms at bay! He is strong willed though. He insisted he had to blow bubbles (outside only activity) and I finally said fine but I'm not going out there! He only made it two minutes! Go figure :) it has been a special day full of cuddles, block building, cleaning, and a special prehistoric lunch :) I am happy!

Crazy Things I Have Done Pregnant:

Ashton

Dreamed about Ashton being kidnapped from hospital (before birth)

Had vivid nightmares WHICH ALMOST convinced me vampires were real

Ate Subway more than 4 times a week

Was put on bed rest and SKYPED to my classes

Was asked by a third grader- if I had considered going on a diet

Read all four twilight books in 4 days

Watched law and order reruns for two days straight
(imagine the dreams that spawned)

Convinced Anthony there was someone in our bedroom!
(I had been dreaming and didnt realize I had woken up)

Had everything done by 28 weeks!

Registered for EVERYTHING I might have the chance of needing ever

Addison

Forgot to wear deodorant (two days in a row)

Realized a non maternity shirt was too short and my belly band was showing...
AFTER I got to school

Made no bake oatmeal cookies... because I wanted them...

Pouting because we had nothing chocolate in the house... and I didnt want to make anything.

Developed the bad habit of snoring in my sleep...and drooling

Lost EVERYTHING (literally)

Wore BROWN maternity pants with black shoes (and did not realize it until I had been wearing them for half of a day!)

Not have anything at all ready (before thirty weeks) I am doing better!

Baby Shower's Galore!

Well- as CRAZY as this pregnancy has been with finding out about Ashton's health issues, working full time, moving, and trying to schedule all of Ashton's appointments there was talk many different times about NOT having a shower at all. I was not sure if it was even ok to have a shower for a second baby! Anyways, the sweet ladies I teach with at SSES have decided to throw a baby shower for me! I am so excited to see all of the precious things that they have bought for my sweet baby girl! The shower is this Friday (one reason I think this week is dragging on for what seems like FOREVER).

Anyways- my sister (with help that will NOT go unmentioned from her (and my) dear friend Laura) have decided to also have a small shower at my house for close friends and family.  Here is the basic information for that if you are interested! Due to Ashton's surgery the date is coming up FAST! :) Invitations will be sent this week!
